Who we are
InsomniAid is an online service that provides information about insomnia and connects people with qualified sleep therapists. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it and what happens to it.
Contact: add contact email. Registered details: add company name, registration number and registered address.
What we collect
Assessment responses. When you complete the free sleep assessment, we receive the answers you give, which may include information about your sleep, how long insomnia has affected you, and any health or wellbeing details you choose to share. This is health-related information and we treat it accordingly.
Contact details. If you provide your name, email or phone number, we use them to respond to you and, where relevant, to arrange support.
Technical information. Standard information such as browser type, device, pages viewed and referring search terms may be recorded to understand how the site performs.
Where the assessment is hosted
The free sleep assessment form is provided by Tally. Responses you submit are collected through their service and made available to us. Their privacy practices are described at tally.so.
How we use your information
- To review your assessment and decide what support, if any, would suit you.
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange a therapist assessment where appropriate.
- To improve the accuracy and usefulness of the site.
- To measure which searches and adverts bring people to the site.
Advertising measurement
We use Google Ads conversion measurement to understand whether people who click an InsomniAid advert go on to start or complete the free sleep assessment. This records things such as the ad clicked and whether the assessment was reached, and does not by itself identify you personally.
In Ireland, the United Kingdom and most European countries this measurement only runs after you accept it in the cookie notice. You can withdraw or change your choice at any time using Cookie settings in the footer. Advertising clicks and impressions are counted by the ad platform regardless of your choice.
Sharing your information
We do not sell your information. We may share it with: a sleep therapist or clinic involved in supporting you; service providers who host the form, website and email on our behalf; and, where required, authorities under legal obligation.
How long we keep it
Assessment responses and enquiries are kept only as long as needed to consider your request, provide support if you take it up, and meet our legal and professional obligations. Ask us and we will tell you what we hold and can delete it where we are permitted to.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, object to certain processing, or complain to your national data protection authority. In Ireland that is the Data Protection Commission; in the United Kingdom it is the Information Commissioner's Office.
Security
Access to assessment responses is limited to the people who need them to help you. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please share only what you are comfortable sharing.
Important health notice
InsomniAid is not an emergency service and information on this site is not medical advice. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line immediately.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that affects how your information is used, we will update this page and the date above.
